Machining by turning can produce revolved parts by chip removal. More specifically, bar turning (décolletage) produces parts from a bar that is automatically fed into the machine.
We have two technologies in our CNC lathes to adapt to the needs of each part and optimize the production process in each case.
Swiss Type or Sliding Head lathes
Our sliding head lathes, from Star and Tsugami, allow us to machine diameters ranging from 4mm to 42mm.
Sliding head technology reduces non-cutting “idle” time and produces components within exceptionally tight geometric tolerances, even in difficult materials.
Fixed Head lathes
Our fixed headstock lathes, from Nakamura-Tome, allow us to machine bar diameters from 10 to 65mm and with a chuck up to Ø200mm.
These multi-tasking machines, with twin spindle and twin turrets, can perform both turning and milling operations to produce geometrically complex parts in a single cycle.
In addition, they can perform gear cutting and eccentric turning operations in the same operation.
